What it does
Nitro Photo combines RAW adjustments, masks, clone corrections and metadata tools with folder or Apple Photos library access.
Nitro’s storage choice affects how you carry edits forward. Photos-library edits stay in the library and can sync through iCloud Photos; folder-based edits and ratings live in sidecars beside the originals, so the folder must be writable. For delivery, export a new JPEG, TIFF, HEIF or PNG with the needed size and colour profile. The guide says export does not upscale. Sidecar exchange also has a limit: Nitro adds a format suffix for files such as JPEG or DNG to avoid collisions with a matching RAW name, and other applications may not recognize that naming. Keep that distinction in mind before relying on a multi-app workflow.
