What it does
KaleidoPaint draws vector ornaments through seventeen symmetry patterns. Individual marks remain editable, and completed work can be exported as a painting or a tileable rectangle.
Edit Mode lets you reshape and recolour a dot, line or filled area after drawing it. That is useful when one curve produces unwanted joins throughout the repeat. Line smoothing and area fill help develop the motif, while scrolling, rotation and zoom reveal its wider arrangement.
Export a tileable rectangle when the design needs to repeat in another application. Unlimited undo and redo support revisions before that handoff.
KaleidoPaint is free software under the GNU GPL. Current downloads target iOS and Apple Silicon Macs. The Android build is an archive: development stopped in 2016 and it is no longer on Google Play.
