What it does

Story Club is George Saunders's English-language newsletter about how short stories work. Its archive includes guided reading, discussion and reflections on writing.

Begin with a story selection and read the fiction before its discussion. That order gives you your own response to compare with Saunders's close attention to the writing. The About page describes guided close reading, writing exercises, editing examples and craft questions.
