What it does
Arculus pairs a metal NFC card with a free mobile app and an access flow using the card, PIN and phone biometrics. The card is a required one-time purchase for its wallet workflow. It needs no battery or cable, while the phone provides the asset and transaction interface.
The physical Arculus card holds a separate role from the phone displaying the wallet. Creating a wallet does not require a hosted account, but it does require recording recovery material that can later replace either component.
Create a card wallet
In the app, choose Create New Wallet and place the card against the phone's NFC area. Set a six-digit PIN, choose a 12- or 24-word recovery phrase and record it offline. Re-enter the words in the correct order and select Confirm before reaching the wallet dashboard.
Each card holds one wallet. To manage another card in the app, use Manage Cards and Add New Card. The cards are separate wallet choices unless deliberately restored from the same recovery material.
For a receipt, open Wallet, select the asset and choose Receive to copy the address or show its QR code. Confirm the intended asset and network before sharing the address.
Replacement and transaction costs
Replacing a lost card requires a new card and the recovery phrase. Moving to another phone uses the restore process and sets a new PIN, which replaces the old PIN for that card across phones. Neither the old phone nor a new blank card substitutes for a missing phrase.
Arculus adds no service fee to ordinary sends and receives, but blockchain costs remain. In-app purchases and swaps use providers such as Onramper and Changelly, whose charges are separate. The purchase help states that the card price includes shipping and handling, with applicable sales tax added.

Watch out for
- Each card holds one wallet at a time
- The card has no independent transaction-detail screen
- Replacing a lost card still requires the wallet’s recovery phrase
Best for

- Users comparing phone replacement with hardware-card recovery
