What it does

Planta brings several plant-care tasks into one app. A useful starting point is to organise the plants you already own, then use the reminders and journal to keep care records together. The app describes schedules informed by plant information and local conditions, rather than a single reminder for every plant.
Care Share is particularly relevant when more than one person looks after the same collection. It gives a shared reference for watering and other tasks, reducing reliance on messages or memory. Identification and light-meter functions support the planning stage, but a reminder is still a prompt to inspect the plant and its conditions before acting.
Several advertised tools require a paid subscription. Planta’s help page places plant identification, the light meter, plant recommendations and care schedules beyond watering in Premium. Decide whether basic watering reminders cover the task before relying on those additional tools.
