What it does

Getty Images licenses creative and editorial photography, illustrations and footage. Buyers can pay for individual files, use UltraPacks or arrange an annual Premium Access agreement. Most downloads require a paid licence; a separate Embed feature permits selected photos on non-commercial websites.

Choose Creative or Editorial before searching. For an individual purchase, add the file to the cart, complete checkout and select Download. With an UltraPack, use the UltraPack button on the asset or search results and choose a size covered by the pack.

UltraPack prices

The US pricing page lists these individual download prices:

File size Price
Small images or low-resolution video US$175
Medium images US$375
Large images or HD/4K video US$499

Packs reduce the per-download price. Editorial images bought through these packs cannot be used for print covers or commercial purposes.

Getty also provides annual Premium Access agreements and editorial subscriptions for teams. Free Embed use is restricted to non-commercial websites, so it is not a replacement for a downloadable advertising licence.

Strengths

  • UltraPacks can mix eligible creative images, footage and editorial photos
  • Annual access agreements support team downloading

Watch out for

  • Editorial UltraPack images exclude commercial uses and print covers
  • Free embedding cannot be used to sell, promote or fundraise

Best for

  • Publishers licensing news and archive imagery
  • Production teams purchasing footage at a specified resolution
