What it does
Uku combines recurring accounting jobs, client documents and time tracking with workload management, absence cover and practice billing. Tasks can follow client dates, and Elite adds tools for delegating work during staff absences. A 14-day Elite trial is available without a credit card; ongoing access requires a paid plan.
Uku connects a client's jobs with the time spent doing them and the agreement used to bill them. Recurring tasks keep the next service date in view, while the client portal gathers documents and responses alongside the work.
Cover a colleague's absence
Elite's Workforce Management tools can temporarily delegate tasks during an approved, all-day absence. Enable Workforce Management in Settings & Apps, then open Profile > Vacations > Request. Set the absence dates, choose Temporary delegate my tasks, and select the task dates and delegates. Client filters and temporary client access let you narrow what is handed over.
Delegation starts with the approved absence. It covers directly assigned tasks in New or In progress status, not tasks postponed to Later. When the absence ends normally, unstarted tasks return to their original owner while work already in progress stays with the delegate. Ending delegation early returns all delegated tasks. This is useful for a holiday handover without permanently changing client ownership.
Subscription choices
In the USD selector, Solo costs US$25 a month, or the equivalent of US$19 a month billed annually, for one member and 20 active clients. Team is US$49 monthly or US$38 monthly billed annually per member. Elite is US$62 monthly or US$48 monthly billed annually per member. Enterprise lists US$99 monthly or US$88 monthly billed annually per member, with sales-assisted setup.
Team supports multiple staff and unlimited clients. Elite adds workforce tools, deeper analytics, budgets and a public API for integrations. Confirm the specific Solo features you need before subscribing: its pricing comparison and plan guide do not agree on every inclusion. The trial gives 14 days on Elite, after which an owner chooses a plan in Settings & Apps > Subscription.
