What it does
Giada is an open-source loop machine and music production tool that combines sample playback, live audio and MIDI recording, sequencing and plugin processing.
Start with a few samples and trigger them from the keyboard or a MIDI controller, then let the main sequencer organise audio and MIDI layers. When a performance needs a deliberate arrangement, the Action Editor lets you refine recorded events instead of recording the whole idea again.
Giada also handles live recording and MIDI output, so it can sit between instruments, other software and an effects collection. Its Elastic playback mode lets sample speed and pitch change independently. Choose the build for your computer and check plugin compatibility before relying on an existing instrument collection.
