What it does
Solar Icon Set is 480 Design’s icon collection. Its original repository describes Figma source work, a shared grid and six styles including linear, bold, broken and duotone treatments.
Solar’s six styles make it useful to compare how much visual emphasis an interface needs. A linear symbol, a bold one and a duotone treatment can communicate different weight while staying within the same family. For a sidebar, compare the ordinary and selected items together, then keep the choice consistent across the action vocabulary. The original README describes a Figma-based grid and strongly smoothed corners, so inspect the set beside the product’s own controls before assuming it will fit a sharper visual language. Use the original source as the starting point for artwork and keep third-party component wrappers identifiable in the implementation. Those wrappers can add useful APIs, but their software license does not by itself establish the original artwork’s terms.
