What it does
pdfCropMargins detects and crops PDF margins through a command line or optional graphical interface. It can apply consistent page sizes and account for noisy scanned margins.
Uniform cropping makes a two-page reading view more consistent, while percentile-style crop selection reduces the effect of stray marks on a few scans. Use the optional GUI to inspect the crop before saving. Default output is a separate _cropped PDF. modifyOriginal retains a backup when replacing the source; replaceOriginal does not. Its restore option recovers saved page-box information, which is different from recovering the complete original file. A Python crop function supports scripted use.
