What it does
Alice-LG is a BGP looking-glass application that presents routing data supplied by BIRD, GoBGP or supported OpenBGPD interfaces.
Configure Alice-LG with the routing sources it should expose, then run the looking-glass server. BIRD commonly uses BIRDwatcher on the routing host and Alice-LG on a separate public server; GoBGP connects through gRPC, while OpenBGPD needs a supported adapter. Received, filtered and not-exported route views help explain route-server policy, and the project exposes corresponding APIs. Configure each source’s endpoint, timeout and security options deliberately; OpenBGPD adapter response caching is disabled by default unless set. Optional Prometheus metrics add neighbor and route counters. This is a view of configured BGP sources, not a packet-path monitor. The source is BSD-3-Clause licensed.
Strengths
- Several supported routing backends
- Public-facing route inspection interface
Watch out for
- Requires configured routing data sources
