What it does

Animockup is a web-based mockup project with official source on GitHub. It supports image or video screens, device frames, gradient backgrounds, added text and images, start and end animation presets, and configurable duration, easing, frame rate and output.

Animockup separates the screen content from the motion around it. Add an image or video, choose from more than 20 device frames, then crop and reposition the content inside the screen. Gradient backgrounds, text and additional images support a short app teaser. Start and end presets, duration and easing control how the device enters, remains visible and leaves.

Export settings expose frame rate, format and resolution. Keep the main screen action visible long enough to understand before adding a title or exit movement. The project is useful for developers who want to adapt the editor as well as creators exploring its animation approach.

The published code uses the MIT licence, allowing modification and redistribution while retaining its copyright and permission notice. Running your own copy needs setup: the guide calls for a Firebase project and configuration, plus replacement or removal of the Paddle subscription integration. That deployment work is separate from editing a mockup.

Strengths

  • Screen crop, animation timing and output settings are configurable.
  • Text and image elements can support the device presentation.

Watch out for

  • Self-hosting needs authentication and subscription configuration changes.

Best for

  • Creators preparing animated app teasers
