What it does
Element Plus Icons supplies common interface symbols as SVG vector files and Vue components. The icon collection supports searching, copying SVG content and copying component code. Both packages are free under MIT and can be used without a product account.
Install @element-plus/icons-vue for Vue components, or choose @element-plus/icons-svg for the raw artwork. The guide shows global registration and direct imports, while the online collection can copy a selected icon’s SVG content or component code.
The el-icon wrapper controls size and color. Icons can also render independently when their width and height are set directly. The is-loading class rotates an icon, which is useful for the supplied Loading symbol.
One component name needs care: Menu conflicts with an HTML element name and must be registered under an alias. The guide also recommends a pinned version when loading the package from a CDN, so upgrades do not arrive unexpectedly. MIT allows commercial use and modification while requiring its copyright and permission notice in redistributed copies.
Strengths
- Offers separate raw-SVG and Vue packages.
- Shows size, color and loading-rotation controls with code examples.
Watch out for
- The Menu icon needs an alias when registered as a component.
Best for
- Vue developers building application controls
- Developers wanting raw Element Plus artwork
