What it does
Icy is a biological image-analysis application with visualization, regions of interest, statistics and a graphical workflow tool.
Icy puts biological images, regions of interest and their statistics in the same analysis workspace. Its Protocols tool assembles operations graphically, and the project emphasizes saving parameters and complete workflows for reuse on another image. Scripting and plug-ins extend that route for specialized analysis. For a reproducible handoff, record the Icy version and the plug-ins used; the project explicitly asks for both in research citations. The source-build instructions recommend allocating at least 4 GB of RAM.
