What it does
Calibre-Web browses, reads and serves ebooks stored in a valid calibre database. It includes account controls and reader-device delivery options.
Prepare a valid calibre library database, then point Calibre-Web at it to provide browser browsing, reading and downloads. Set the user permissions for the people who will use the library; accounts can have different content visibility and download access. That is useful when a shared library should not expose every function to every reader.
Treat device delivery and conversion as separate setup steps. The project supports sending books to readers and Kobo synchronization, while conversion uses calibre binaries. Consult the optional-feature instructions for the route you need instead of assuming the web interface alone supplies every supporting tool.
