What it does

Fontisto is a pictographic webfont and CSS toolkit, with Sass, Less and Stylus sources and categories including controls, brands and weather.

Fontisto gives an existing webfont-based site a collection of pictograms and CSS helpers. Install the package or use a release download, then include the compiled stylesheet. Size and color follow CSS, while its toolkit includes fixed-width alignment, stacking, rotation and animation styles.

Sass, Less and Stylus sources make it possible to fold the icon styling into the site's own build. The categories range from controls and transport to brands and weather, so a project can keep many small interface symbols in one font-based system.

Use the font-and-CSS workflow when that matches the application. The roadmap lists SVG sprites and framework wrappers as future work. The font uses SIL OFL, CSS and related style sources use MIT, and documentation uses CC BY 3.0; keep the relevant notices when redistributing those parts.
