What it does

LibreSpeed is a self-hosted JavaScript speed test with download, upload, ping and jitter measurements, plus optional telemetry and result sharing.

Deploy LibreSpeed’s web files with their directory layout intact, then open the installation’s index page in a browser. A PHP-capable web server is the documented starting point; a database is optional for stored results. Telemetry, IP/ISP lookup, sharing and multiple test points are configurable features. Its separate stability page measures repeated latency over a chosen duration and can export samples as CSV; failed requests there are observations from that selected browser target. Keep the server’s capacity in mind when interpreting throughput. The README marks its partial Node.js backend as not recommended and lists alternatives separately. The software is LGPL-3.0 licensed.
