What it does
Simple Comic is a macOS viewer for image-based comic reading. The project supports two-page spreads, rotation, page ordering and zoom.
Set page order to match the comic before beginning, then choose a spread or single-page view. That is particularly useful when switching between manga and western page layouts. The repository is the official development source for this reader, separate from the older application’s various download mirrors.
On Apple Silicon Macs, Live Text makes recognized comic text selectable for copying or speech. Drag over the words, then use Copy or Speak; the OCR feature has a narrower hardware scope than simply opening the comic.
