What it does
gFTP is a Linux transfer client with graphical and text interfaces and support for FTP, FTPS and SFTP through OpenSSH.
Use the GTK interface for interactive transfers or the text program for a directory download that should exit on completion. The current README documents GTK 3 as the default build and identifies OpenSSH as a requirement for SFTP. Install the needed optional components for the protocol actually being used.
Strengths
- Graphical and text interfaces
- FTP, explicit FTPS and SFTP routes
Watch out for
- SFTP support depends on the OpenSSH client
Best for
- Linux desktop and terminal transfer workflows
