What it does
Axiom is a Windows interface that generates FFmpeg and FFprobe command scripts. It provides format selection, quality and copy modes, cutting, resizing, batch processing, and image-sequence output.
Axiom generates commands for local FFmpeg/FFprobe, with controls for cutting, resizing, quality, copy mode and batch processing. Choose settings to convert immediately or inspect and reuse the generated script. Its official examples map selected video/audio/subtitle streams into MP4 or MKV, extract MP3 audio and write numbered image sequences; batch examples use separate input/output folders. Available codecs depend on the FFmpeg build. The portable Windows application needs .NET Framework 4.5 and can detect bundled tools or use configured paths. The project is GPL-3.0; its older youtube-dl dependency requirements are separate from basic local conversion.
Strengths
- Exposes generated command scripts and configurable processing-tool paths.
Best for
