What it does

Dropwire is an iroh-based desktop transfer project with nearby discovery, recipient previews, selective downloads and interrupted-transfer resume.

Choose a file or folder and share its one-time code or QR, or select a nearby device discovered on the same network. Before accepting, the receiver sees filenames, sizes and counts and can untick unwanted files. Activity offers Resume for an interrupted receive and Retry for a failed send. Transfers can cross the Internet, with an encrypted relay fallback when a direct route fails; a badge shows the route. Codes serve the first connecting recipient. Nearby visibility can be disabled, and remembered trusted devices have an optional consent shortcut. The project remains beta on Windows, macOS and Linux.
