What it does
gping displays ping-time graphs for multiple hosts and can also graph command execution times, with Windows, macOS and Linux support.
Pass one or more hosts to gping to place their ping times on the same terminal graph. Choose the interface and IPv4 or IPv6 resolution, then set the sampling interval and visible history buffer. Its --cmd mode instead times repeated commands, so a command that performs several steps measures all of them together. The README provides Windows, macOS and Linux installation routes, with a Rust 1.67.0 minimum for Cargo builds. Cloud-region shortcuts currently cover AWS. Use the graph as observations from that machine to those targets, and preserve the chosen mode when comparing runs.
Strengths
- Several host graphs in one terminal
- Optional command timing mode
Best for
- Watching latency variation without a graphical desktop tool
