What it does
PDFjam assembles PDF and supported image inputs into PDF output. It provides rotation, scaling, page selection, n-up layouts, booklet arrangement, and binding signatures.
For slide handouts, set the grid, gap and scale, then choose an explicit output filename. Batch mode writes a separate suffixed PDF for each input; booklet and signature options handle binding order. All pages in one result share a size and orientation, and original links/bookmarks are lost. Use a new destination name because PDFjam can overwrite an existing file without warning. LaTeX, pdfpages and a Unix shell are required.
Strengths
- Supports detailed page arrangement and print-signature layouts.
Watch out for
- Requires a LaTeX/Unix-shell setup and drops original interactive links and bookmarks.
Best for
- Repeatable handout and booklet layout from a terminal
