What it does
MeghXL is a self-hosted local-network transfer application with a dashboard, download links and QR codes for browser-based recipients.
Install MeghXL on one hub computer and open its LAN address or QR on other devices. If the .local name fails, use the numeric network link. A sender can make a file visible to Everyone, deliver to one device, or create a private link with expiry and one-download options. Files are stored on the hub, so its available disk space and uptime matter. Treat the LAN as trusted: every browser on the host computer has administrator access. Remote access needs a VPN or authenticated reverse proxy under the operator’s control; end-to-end encryption is listed as future work.
