What it does
dufs is a command-line file server with browser uploads, folder archives, resumable transfers, search and access controls.
Run dufs with a selected directory to make it available through a browser or WebDAV. It starts read-only; enable upload, deletion, searching or archive download separately when needed. Path-based account rules can grant read or write access, but they do not override a disabled global operation, so a user marked read-write still cannot upload unless uploading is enabled. The documented API supports scripted transfers and resume. HTTPS requires supplying a certificate and key.
Strengths
- Browser and WebDAV access
- Explicit operation permissions
Best for
- A configurable temporary or small-team file server
