What it does

Stirling PDF provides editing, merging, OCR, redaction, conversion, and other PDF operations through desktop and browser interfaces. It also supports self-hosted deployment and REST-based automation.

Automate saves a named sequence of configured PDF tools and runs it on the files in the workspace. Review Automation Results before finishing. Interactive tools such as the text editor, Sign, Annotate and Compare cannot be steps in that sequence. Saved automations stay in the browser, so export their JSON to move them to another computer. Desktop automation needs a Cloud or self-hosted-server sign-in, while Cloud runs consume team credits. The repository uses mixed component licences rather than one licence for every edition.

Strengths

  • Provides UI pipelines and APIs for repeated PDF jobs.

Best for
