What it does
Skill Icons turns selected technology identifiers into a themed SVG icon strip. The official documentation shows URL options for icon names, theme and icons per line.
Skill Icons creates a technology-icon strip for a profile README or résumé. Put the desired identifiers in the image URL’s i parameter, separated by commas, then use that image in Markdown or HTML. The supported-name list connects identifiers such as js, html and css to their artwork.
The default theme is dark. A light theme changes the background for icons that have a themed variant. The perline setting controls wrapping, defaults to 15 and accepts values from 1 to 50. Standard image alignment can center the completed strip.
The project is free under MIT, with public assets and a documented URL workflow that has no account step. When embedded by URL, the image depends on the hosted service being available. Custom icon submissions are handled through requests to the project rather than arbitrary artwork passed in the image URL.
Strengths
- A single configured image groups several technology icons.
- Theme and per-line options control presentation.
Watch out for
- URL-based embedding depends on the hosted image endpoint.
- Themed variants are available for some icons rather than every entry.
Best for
- Developer profile READMEs
- Technical résumé skill summaries
