What it does
Text Grab is a Windows OCR application with screenshot or file input, clipboard/editor output and post-capture text cleanup.
Use Full-Screen Grab for a selected area or Grab Frame for a movable recognition window, then correct the result in the text editor or spreadsheet mode. The current README also describes opening supported images/PDFs and bulk folder OCR, with text-file or delimited-data output. It says OCR runs on the device without a cloud service or per-use cost; optional actions such as opening a web search are separate from recognition. Standard Windows OCR needs Windows 10 or later and installed language packs. Windows AI recognition has a narrower requirement: Windows 11 on a Copilot+ PC with the Microsoft Store installation. The source is MIT licensed. Check the packaged version when relying on a recently documented mode.
