What it does
Vaadin Icons supplies SVG, PNG and font artwork with a package that registers the set for Vaadin’s icon element.
Vaadin Icons gives a Vaadin application a named collection for actions, navigation and other controls. Install the iconset package and import it into the application, then place the desired name in a vaadin-icon element. Registering the set and displaying an individual symbol are separate steps.
The artwork is also supplied in SVG, PNG and font forms. That makes the collection useful when related interface work needs the same symbols outside the component integration, while a Vaadin application can stay with its existing icon element.
License scope matters when exporting those files: the artwork uses CC BY 4.0, while the repository's code uses Apache 2.0. Keep the appropriate attribution with the artwork. Brand marks retain their owners' trademark rights, and inclusion in this set does not imply endorsement.
Strengths
- The set has a documented package-registration and display route.
- Artwork is available in several file forms.
Watch out for
- The artwork requires CC BY attribution despite the code’s Apache license.
Best for
- Vaadin applications
- Web interfaces using a consistent application-icon set
