What it does

WeUI Icon is a standalone icon package from the WeUI project. It offers filled and outlined styles with whole-library and individual-icon CSS imports.

WeUI Icon uses classes in the form weui-icon-[style]-[name]. The two styles are filled and outlined: for example, weui-icon-filled-add-friends selects the filled contact symbol.

Install weui-icon and import the complete stylesheet, or import one file such as weui-icon/dist/filled/add-friends.css for a smaller selection. The public CDN stylesheet is another option. Keep the CSS import and markup style aligned; importing a filled symbol does not supply its outlined counterpart.

This is a straightforward fit for contact controls and other WeUI-style interfaces using CSS. Public package and CDN access require no WeUI account. Package metadata declares MIT licensing, making the distributed package available for ongoing free use under those terms.

Strengths

  • Filled and outlined artwork share a predictable class structure.
  • Individual-icon CSS imports offer an alternative to the full package.

Watch out for

  • The imported style must match the style named in the CSS class.

Best for

  • WeUI-style contact and social controls
  • CSS-based interfaces using a small icon selection
