What it does
BatchEncoder is a Windows audio-conversion interface for command-line tools. It supports lossy and lossless formats, multithreaded jobs, configurable presets, and tool paths.
Choose a format/preset and configure the command-line tool paths. BatchEncoder launches those backends with the selected options plus input/output filenames, so format-specific controls belong to each encoder's own help. Output templates combine source folders/names, target extensions and text; they can write beside inputs, under a Converted folder or to another path. The Windows 32/64-bit installer and portable packages use the same MIT-licensed frontend. Its repository was archived in November 2022, and the path-template wiki is dated 2018.
Strengths
- Exposes backend tools, presets, and paths rather than hiding the conversion configuration.
Best for
- Windows users maintaining repeat audio-conversion batches
