What it does
PDF Metadata Editor is a Java-based application for PDF metadata changes. It provides graphical, batch, and command-line routes and uses Apache PDFBox for processing.
For one file, open the PDF, edit title or author and use Copy Doc to Xmp when the document and XMP metadata should match. Batch Set metadata can apply selected fields across files or folders. Choose a separate output folder to keep originals: the documented empty-output setting overwrites the input PDFs. The repository is GPLv3, while the vendor also offers paid Pro licences and a three-day Pro trial.
