What it does

Jirafeau is a self-hosted PHP file-sharing application that produces download and deletion links, with configurable expiry and password options.

Jirafeau turns one upload into separate download and deletion links. The operator controls upload limits, passwords and expiry, including a first-download self-destruct option, and runs a cleanup task for expired files. It needs PHP 7.4 or newer but no database. Protect its storage directory from direct web access and enable HTTPS. Optional encryption uses the PHP Sodium module on the server, sends the key in the download URL and decrypts on the server during pickup; the README explicitly says this is not end-to-end encryption. Keep the download URL if that option is enabled. The maintained continuation is AGPL-3.0 software.
