What it does
Glassnode combines blockchain activity with spot, derivatives and other market data in its Studio charts. It also provides data delivery tools for analysts building their own research. A Standard account is free, with paid Advanced and Professional plans for broader metrics and history.
A wallet-flow chart can change after an address is identified as belonging to an exchange. Glassnode explains these revisions and offers Point-in-Time series that preserve what its dataset showed at the time. That distinction matters when comparing a historical signal with a later market outcome.
Choose the data before comparing charts
Select the asset and metric in Studio, then check the available history and resolution for your plan. Daily observations and ten-minute observations describe different intervals. For systematic research, check whether the Point-in-Time version covers your dates: its history begins when Glassnode started tracking that metric, rather than automatically matching the full ordinary series.
Data points also arrive after the interval they describe. Processing and block confirmations can delay release, and early Bitcoin or Ethereum values may still change. A timestamp on a chart is therefore not necessarily when that value became available to a researcher.
Account plans
| Plan | Published price | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | Free | Basic metrics, according to the account FAQ |
| Advanced | $49 per month, billed annually | Paid Studio access; check included history and resolution |
| Professional | From $584 per month, billed annually | Configurable metrics, history, resolution and data access |
Prices exclude VAT. Advanced is licensed for personal use; Professional supports commercial use, with redistribution arranged separately. Confirm API and file-download entitlements for the chosen configuration before purchasing.
API credentials are generated from Studio's user menu under API. Professional data exports use credits, with a separate allowance selected for the subscription.
Strengths
- Point-in-Time data preserves earlier observations for research that must avoid later revisions.
- The same data family can be used in Studio, Excel and programmatic research tools.
Watch out for
- Point-in-Time history cannot extend back before tracking began for the particular metric.
- New observations can be delayed by processing and blockchain confirmations.
Best for
- Analysts comparing blockchain activity with crypto market history
- Research teams that need to distinguish revised data from information available at the time
