What it does
Glow Wallet brings Solana balances, transaction history and NFT browsing into a free mobile app and browser extensions. It also includes swaps, staking and tools for removing unwanted tokens.
Glow is useful when an account contains more than a few ordinary coin balances. Its activity view brings past actions together, including transactions made through another wallet interface. Collectibles have trait and price filters, with marketplace activity available beside them.
The iOS app can import multiple private keys or recovery phrases. It offers Keychain storage and iCloud backup, Touch ID or Face ID access, and a Bluetooth connection to a Ledger Nano X. Check which account a connected application is using when several have been imported.
Unwanted-token handling includes a burn action that can reclaim SOL. Burning changes the blockchain state, so distinguish it from merely hiding something in the display. Glow also advertises swaps without its own swap fee. That claim should not be treated as a promise that network transactions or third-party routes have no costs.
Glow says it simulates transaction requests and blocks ones it considers suspicious. Still read the intended action before approving: a warning system cannot guarantee that an application or investment is safe. Tokens and collectibles can lose their value.
The wallet software is free. For support, use a public wallet address and a description of the issue, never the secret key. Glow explicitly says it does not hold users' recovery phrases and cannot supply one if the backup is lost.
Strengths
- Mobile wallets can synchronize with the desktop extension
- Transfers can carry a note, and incoming transfers can trigger notifications
- The iOS Safari extension connects to supported Solana applications
Watch out for
- Support cannot reconstruct a missing recovery phrase
- Token burning is an irreversible account action rather than a display filter
Best for
- Solana collectors sorting items by traits and price
- Users reviewing activity accumulated through different wallet interfaces
