What it does
Kickflip is a product-configurator platform with visual customization, multi-view images, dynamic colouring and pricing, conditional logic and print-ready files. It connects to Shopify, WooCommerce and Wix. It has a paid plan and a 14-day trial that does not require a card.
Kickflip's Design Studio lets shoppers combine uploaded images and text on a product. The Configure tab holds product options; the Design tab adds text and images. Shoppers can move, resize and rotate objects, change text styling and reorder objects in Layers.
A merchant creates a Design Studio question, chooses the product view and defines the design area in physical units or pixels. Areas can use a clipping layer, with conditional options controlling the available mask. Set Minimum DPI and enable Show quality indicator to warn shoppers when an image is too small for its printed size.
Within a Design Studio area, enable Generate print file and set its resolution, outer bleed margin and inner safe area. Additional design areas can represent a front and back. Separate print areas are used for the simpler Text and Logo questions; they are not required for Design Studio output.
The standard offer includes unlimited products, pageviews and storage, at USD 59 per month plus a fee ranging from 1.95% down to 0% per customized product sold as volume rises. There is a 14-day trial without a card. Removing the Powered by Kickflip link adds USD 49 per month. Customer quote requests add USD 99 per month.
Customer data remains the customer's property under Kickflip's terms. Custom templates that Kickflip creates from the customer's data also belong to the customer when they are not derived from Kickflip's own materials.
