What it does

Nitro PDF creates, edits, converts, annotates, and signs PDFs on Windows, Mac, and iOS. The product includes OCR and tools for working with forms and extracted document data.

When scanned pages need only search and annotation, choose Searchable OCR; choose Searchable and Editable when the recognised text must be revised. In the desktop guide, OCR is on the Review tab and Options limits processing to a page range. Selected pages can also be sent from the Pages pane. Nitro offers a fourteen-day trial. Standard and Plus span Windows, Mac and iOS, while Classic is Windows desktop; Smart Redact is a separate add-on.
