What it does
GoodData.AI combines shared metric definitions, dashboards, embedded analytics and AI interfaces. Workspaces organize reporting for teams or customer groups, while metadata APIs help maintain those definitions across environments.
GoodData.AI organizes analytics around reusable metrics and workspaces. A customer-facing dashboard and an internal report can use the same definition of revenue while showing different customers or business areas.
From the home page, open Workspaces > Create workspace, give it a name and create it. The workspace becomes the place to connect data, model relationships and build analysis. Workspace hierarchies and data filters support related customer or team environments without requiring an independent definition for every report. Calendars, time zones and appearance can also be configured.
Professional pricing combines a platform fee with workspace charges and includes one environment, unlimited users and embedded analytics. Enterprise adds broader environment and deployment options. Both require a discussion with GoodData for a quote.
Using the platform requires an authenticated user. GoodData Cloud uses its default sign-in provider or an organization's configured provider, and the user's permissions control access. Basic workspace management is available in the interface; more advanced copying, backup and maintenance tasks use the API or Python tools. This distinction matters for teams planning to manage many customer workspaces.
Strengths
- Reuses semantic definitions across internal and embedded experiences.
- Provides hierarchical workspaces and metadata-management interfaces.
Watch out for
- Professional includes one environment; broader deployment arrangements require Enterprise.
Best for
- Teams delivering governed analytics to several customer or business contexts
