What it does
Chrome includes Safety Check, Safe Browsing and a Privacy Guide, with optional Enhanced Protection that sends browsing data to Google.
Chrome's Safety Check reviews updates, passwords, extensions and unused site permissions. That gives a useful first maintenance task for an existing Chrome user. Its Privacy Guide then walks through important settings instead of requiring you to locate each control independently.
Safe Browsing has standard and enhanced options. The official page explicitly says Enhanced Protection requires sending browsing data to Google, which is a material tradeoff when choosing the stronger detection mode. Chrome belongs here for its documented security tools and user controls, without a claim that it is an anonymous or data-minimizing browser by default.
