What it does

Gravity Sketch combines VR sketching, surfacing and geometry tools with shared rooms and browser-based file inspection. Designers can examine a form at full scale, discuss changes together and export models for further work. The Free plan has three-person rooms and limited exports; paid Plus adds more export formats.

A shared room can be joined through a link or six-digit code. Current Free access includes the creation tools, three people in a room and 150 MB of storage. Plus increases this to five people and 3 GB, adds evaluation tools and provides the full set of file formats. Room data is excluded from those storage allowances.

Export through the web workspace

Sign in and open a file with View or a double-click, then wait for it to load. Choose Export in the upper-right corner. Set the name and export options or choose a destination preset, then run the export. Results appear in My Files for a personal workspace or Personal Files in an organisation, where they can be viewed and downloaded. A room or draft also has an Export command in its context menu.

Free export is limited to 2D, OBJ and USDZ. The full format selection includes FBX, IGES, OBJ, glTF, USDZ and MP4, depending on the file and plan. Free users cannot save locally or work offline. The local-save help explains the Plus option: open Save & Export from the non-drawing hand's blue menu and switch Save on Cloud to Save on Local.

Strengths

  • Shared rooms combine 3D annotation with full-scale design review.
  • Web export provides destination presets and downloadable results.

Watch out for

  • Free access excludes local saving and offline work.
  • Free export formats are restricted to 2D, OBJ and USDZ.

Best for

  • Product designers reviewing shape and proportions in VR
  • Collaborators preparing 3D concepts for another application
