What it does
GRC DNS Benchmark compares local and remote DNS-server performance, with a commercial version 2 offered as a one-time purchase.
Choose the resolver candidates and protocols, run DNS Benchmark, then inspect the response-time, tabular and Conclusions views. Version 2 compares IPv4, IPv6, DoH and DoT, with adjustable sample counts and query spacing; it can save a simple ranking as text or CSV. The measurements come from your network location, which is why a universal “fastest DNS” list may disagree. Its ranking also treats cached and uncached performance differently from the old v1. Version 2 is sold as a one-time purchase with future improvements included. Use documentation matching that version; the site is updating older instructions and warns they may not align with v1.
