What it does
growthepie publishes usage, fee and application data for Ethereum Mainnet and supported scaling networks. Its website offers cross-chain Fundamentals, individual chain views and application analytics, while a public API provides downloadable metric series. Public data is free to use with attribution, and the documented public endpoints do not require authentication.
Follow one metric across networks
Fundamentals compares measures such as active addresses, transaction count, fees and throughput. Chains provides the detail for an individual network, while Applications focuses on on-chain products. All displayed dates use UTC, which keeps shared comparisons on the same time basis.
Take the data into your own analysis
The API is a software interface for retrieving the datasets. Its Quickstart begins with master.json, the list of supported chains and metrics. Flat exports identify the metric, chain, date and value; the guide includes an example that filters transaction-count history for Arbitrum.
Use fundamentals.json for a rolling 90-day daily dataset. A metric-specific export provides longer history, and richer endpoints can offer weekly, monthly, quarterly or hourly series where available. Check the update time or latest observation date before comparing results.
Reuse and coverage limits
growthepie's data terms generally allow reuse and adaptation under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0, with credit to growthepie and any additional upstream terms. Its API guidance asks for no more than ten calls per minute and warns against using development or archived chains for current analysis. Coverage follows the supported-chain list in master.json.
Strengths
- Public API examples include chain and metric identifiers
- Metric-specific exports provide an alternative to the rolling 90-day dataset
- Data terms allow attributed commercial and noncommercial reuse
Watch out for
- The combined fundamentals export covers only the latest 90 days
- API guidance limits use to ten calls per minute
- Coverage and update frequency vary by chain and metric
Best for
- Analysts comparing Ethereum network usage over time
- Developers building charts from public blockchain metric exports
