What it does

Hana offers free wallet access through a Chromium browser extension and iOS or Android apps. It organizes supported blockchain accounts and provides SODAX-powered swaps with separately displayed provider, network and Hana fees.

Start with the networks you need. In the browser extension, Create account asks for a password, a backed-up recovery phrase and confirmation of its word order. You then choose which blockchains to enable and accept the terms. The selection can be changed later. Hedera is still labeled forthcoming on the current network list.

Mobile users have a choice between phrase-based creation and Apple or Google sign-in. These account types behave differently: a phrase-based account can derive multiple wallets, while a social-login account supplies one wallet per email address. Choosing a convenient login method is therefore also a choice about how the wallet is organized.

For a swap, open the bottom-bar Swap control, choose the outgoing asset and inspect the blockchain icon beside the receiving asset. The question-mark icon reveals the provider, network cost and Hana charge. Sliding the confirmation control starts the swap, with a three-second undo window described in the guide. Treat the estimated rate as a quote that can change, particularly across networks.

The Go Mobile feature has a specific limit. If the phone already contains a phrase-based Hana account, it cannot import another desktop phrase-based account through that sync route. A fresh installation or an installation containing only social-login accounts has different options.

The wallet itself is available free. Swaps and blockchain transactions have charges shown in their respective review screens. A successful cross-chain transfer also says nothing about the future price of the token received.

Strengths

  • The same phone can contain phrase-based and social-login wallet accounts
  • Swap details distinguish the routing provider from wallet and network charges
  • The network filter narrows the outgoing-asset list

Watch out for

  • Hedera remains listed as forthcoming
  • Go Mobile cannot add a second phrase-based account to an already occupied mobile setup

Best for

  • People choosing which networks to enable in a browser wallet
  • Hana users comparing mobile account types before synchronizing devices
