What it does
Happy Hues applies curated palettes to example page sections and illustrations. Each section labels colours by their role, including background, headline, button and button text. The hex codes are published on the page and can be copied without an account.
Select Toggle palettes to try another combination, then use Toggle section colors to inspect the values for the displayed section. Click a hex code to copy it.
The examples separate interface colours from illustration colours. A button and its text have distinct values, while an illustration has stroke, main, highlight, secondary and tertiary colours. Later sections show how the same palette extends to cards, labels and contrasting surfaces.
This is a colour reference for applying a palette to specific elements. The site also explains hue, tint, shade, tone, value and saturation alongside its examples.
Strengths
- Swatches identify the page element each colour belongs to.
- Illustration colours are listed separately from interface elements.
