What it does
Harper's is an American general-interest magazine with narrative journalism, essays and its numerical Index. The official site connects current material with magazine and subscription access.
The Index provides a compact entry point before a longer essay. Harper's describes the magazine as monthly; its homepage access text describes two free articles per month, followed by subscription access.
Watch out for
- The site displays a limited free-article allowance and requires subscription access beyond it.
Best for
- Readers looking for extended arguments and literary reporting
