What it does
Hashflow obtains signed token-exchange quotes from market makers that price assets offchain. Its REST API lets aggregators, trading clients and individual wallet traders request quotes and carry them into onchain execution. Trading fees are included in the quoted price.
Hashflow is useful when an application needs a firm exchange quote rather than only a pool-price estimate. A market maker signs the quoted amounts and expiry, and the application submits those terms for onchain execution. The maker can incorporate offchain price and volatility information.
Integrators first request credentials from Hashflow. They then discover available market makers and token pairs, inspect price levels, and request a signed quote for the chosen networks, tokens, amount and recipient. Individual API credentials are tied to the trading wallet. A quote can specify a larger maximum amount than requested, so the actual amount submitted deserves a separate check.
After execution, a block explorer can confirm the transaction. Cross-chain quotes also return an estimated charge for relaying and destination gas, paid on the sending chain. Receiving a quote alone does not move funds.
Protocol trading fees are included in the price and collected when the trade executes. Major pairs such as USDC-WETH use dynamic charges, while other pairs use static charges; comparing the net output is more useful than assuming one universal percentage.
Market making is a separate integration. Creating a liquidity pool requires Hashflow to approve the creator wallet, so it is not the same as depositing into an unrestricted public pool.
Strengths
- Signed quotes specify amounts and expiry
- API supports network, token, amount and recipient inputs
- Onchain execution can be checked through a block explorer
Watch out for
- API access requires credentials from the team
- Trading fees vary by pair and can change dynamically
- Market-maker pool creation requires prior approval
Best for
- Aggregators and trading developers adding request-for-quote liquidity
