HashKey’s onboarding separates identity verification from funding. After creating an account, complete the requested checks before transferring USD or HKD into the fiat wallet. Available assets depend on whether the customer qualifies as a retail or professional investor.

Requesting a Marketplace quote

Trade → OTC opens Marketplace. Its brokerage balance is separate from the funding balance; the plus button transfers an amount between those accounts. Select the paying and receiving currencies, amount and Instant or Delayed settlement, then submit the inquiry.

Inquiry Record shows whether it is waiting for confirmation, settling or expired. View Quote displays the provider’s price, validity, payment and settlement details. Accepting binds the trade: it cannot then be edited or cancelled. An expired quote requires a new inquiry. Completed trades have a Transaction Details page and inquiry number.

Trading conditions

Marketplace prices include the quoted dealing cost. The exchange’s separate trading-fee structure uses volume and VIP tiers; a filled order uses the applicable rate at execution.

Spot orders also face price bands. A market order can be partly filled and have the remaining quantity cancelled when it would trade outside the permitted band. Market orders are disabled for the first five minutes of a new listing. These controls do not eliminate crypto price risk.

US citizenship, permanent residency and US tax residency are among the prohibited US-person conditions. Account acceptance, identity checks and the asset’s investor classification still apply to otherwise eligible applicants.
