What it does

Photomatix merges differently exposed photographs into an HDR image and provides preset treatments.

For the included Lightroom or Capture One integration, select one bracketed set, invoke the plugin, process it in Photomatix Pro and reimport the HDR result. Pro includes presets, tone mapping/fusion, batch previews and advanced ghost removal, but those included plugins do not batch sets; the Lightroom batch plugin is separate. Windows/Mac licences are a one-time purchase per user, usable on several computers. The trial has no time limit but adds a watermark. Linux has its own product.

Strengths

  • Exposure merging and preset treatments

Watch out for

  • Trial output is watermarked; the included Lightroom/Capture One plugins process one bracketed set at a time.

Best for

  • Processing bracketed interior or landscape photographs
