What it does
Heartbeat combines discussions, courses, documents, events and memberships in a community platform. Workflows react to member activity with messages, access changes and reminders, while groups organise who can enter private channels. A 14-day trial needs no card; continued use requires a paid plan.
A member finishing a course can trigger access to the next activity in Heartbeat. Similar workflows can welcome a new member, follow up after an event or apply a bulk action to a selected group. Automated groups update membership as conditions change, while private channels restrict content to selected groups. For a course with several stages, this connects a learner's progress to the spaces they can enter next.
Subscriptions differ in member capacity, automation and fees on payments collected from members. Prices below are in USD.

Administrators and moderators count toward the member allowance, even though their role count is not separately capped. Stripe processing charges apply in addition to Heartbeat's payment fee. Grow adds API access and fifty hours of hosted video; Scale includes two hundred hours and a branded mobile app. Channels, courses, documents and groups are unlimited across these plans.
The trial lasts fourteen days without a card. A community that does not upgrade is deactivated when the trial ends and deleted after thirty days of inactivity. Once signed in, manage the subscription through Settings > Platform > Billing > Manage Billing, which opens the billing portal.
