What it does
Okta Verify is an authenticator for Okta-protected resources and supported third-party verification, with behavior determined by organizational policy.
Okta Verify's user experience depends on the options and sign-in policies the administrator enables. Its documentation therefore starts with configuring the authenticator and enrolling it in policy, not merely installing an app. Trace enrollment and a lost-device case with the organization's support team. The page notes that Windows and macOS support requires Identity Engine organizations and describes an Autopilot limitation. Those constraints matter when planning a managed-device rollout.
Enrollment also collects device information. Okta's Identity Engine disclosure lists device name, model, manufacturer, platform, OS version and an app-instance UUID, plus diagnostic logs and stack traces. The UUID identifies an app installation rather than the physical device. Logs are attached when a user reports an issue, so include that disclosure in the organization's enrollment guidance.
